From the parking area at sunset we also hope to glimpse some short-eared owls. If the parking area is full\, you may be able to park at the Winding Waters trailhead a half-mile up the road or Owens Station Crossing (136 Owens Station Road)\, which provides access to the back portion of the Liberty Loop trail. DESCRIPTION:Start off your Valentine’s Day with a little bird love at Warwick’s Wickham Woodlands. We will meet at the main parking lot below the Hudson Sports Complex. From there\, we will do a short count of all the birds we see and hear for the 2026 Great Backyard Bird Count—an annual global effort organized by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology\, National Audubon Society\, and Birds Canada. No birding experience necessary; bring binoculars if you have them.
