SUMMARY:Spring on the Delaware River
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the sights and tranquility of the Delaware River in Bushkill\, Pennsylvania. Meet at the far end of the first Milford Beach parking area at the far end of the first parking area (not the boat launches). The $10 parking fee should be waived at this time of year. From there we will walk the McDade Trail along the Delaware River through forested habitats that are great for migrating warblers & other songbirds.

SUMMARY:Bashakill Birding and Kayaking
DESCRIPTION:A full day of outdoor fun at the Bashakill Wildlife Management Area. Start with a leisurely walk from the main boat launch to view migrating waterfowl\, songbirds\, and nesting Bald Eagles. Then we will break until 2:30 pm and take to the water in kayaks from the same boat launch. You can either bring your own or rent them nearby from the Mamakating Environmental Education Center. Please leave plenty of time to transport your kayaks by 2:30.

SUMMARY:Long Swamp Sanctuary Walk
DESCRIPTION:A nice morning tour of OCAS’s Long Swamp Sanctuary in Warwick\, NY. Meet at the Walling Road entrance to walk the length of the sanctuary along a horse trail.  We will pass through a number of habitats including conifer-rich forests and open fields. Please email info@orangecountynyaudubon.org to register for the event as parking is limited. \nTo get to the designated parking area\, follow GPS directions to 216 Walling Road\, Warwick\, NY 10990. Once you get to the open red gate\, follow the dirt road for about a half a mile until you see the Orange County Audubon Society parking area and sanctuary signs. Parking is only allowed at the end of the road and nowhere else.

SUMMARY:Earth Day Sanctuary Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day by helping Orange County Audubon Society clean up a beloved sanctuary. We will meet at the 6 ½ Station Sanctuary kiosk (rather than at the Heritage Trail) and start with a walk along the nature trails to  the observation platform. After\, we will spend some time clearing invasive species such as autumn olive\, multiflora rose\, and Japanese honeysuckle from the sanctuary fields. Work tools will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Come out on Earth Day weekend for a bird- and art-filled excursion led by Orange County Audubon Society board members Roberta Schiffer Rahmer and Diane Tuttle. The tour will traverse the meadows\, ponds\, and woods at Storm King Art Center to appreciate the variety of avian species and ecosystems that are an essential part of the sculpture installations. \nFollowing the bird walk\, artist Jenny Hersch will lead a hands-on creative workshop drawing on observations from the walk. Storm King offers an accessible cart service\, ASL interpretation\, and assisted listening devices.
