Bashakill Birding and Boating

At 8 am: Nature Walk on Towpath Trail
At 2:30 pm: Kayaking from main boat launch
Our group will meet at the parking area on Haven adjacent to the bird blind at 8 AM where we will briefly coordinate the cars which will be moved to the pickup at Deli Fields and the cars which will transport hikers to the small Towpath parking area. We will then hike along the towpath from the Towpath parking area to Deli Fields.
The kayaking portion begins at 2:30 pm. Bring your own vessel or rent one at MEEC (762 South Rd, Wurtsboro). Make sure you arrive early enough to get your kayak in the water. Hats and sunscreen recommended. Meet at South Rd. boat launch across from winery. To register or for information on kayak rental, call MEEC at 845-644-5014.
