How to Tell a Story With Wildlife Photography

April 20 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

A Zoom presentation by wildlife photographer, conservationist, and social media expert Preeti Desai.

Photographers often want their images to look beautiful and carry meaning. But how does one add emotional and ecological depth to bird, insect, and other wildlife photos? This hour-long virtual talk will focus on photography that connects viewers to places, sparks empathy, inspires action, and reveals the quiet truths of the natural world. The event is free and open to the public, but you must register in advance at this Zoom link. If you have any accessibility requests, please email info@orangecountynyaudubon.org by April 15.

Preeti Desai is a nature photographer who is passionate about wildlife, conservation, and science. She uses photography and videography thoughtfully to inspire and motivate people to appreciate and protect birds. Preeti volunteers with the Feminist Bird Club of Jersey City and Jersey City Birds. Her work has been published by Audubon, Hemispheres, and Time, among others. You can find her on Instagram @preetalina or preetalina.com.
