Introduction to the National Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count

For over 100 years the National Audobon Society has conducted a Christmas Bird Count, compiling a detailed census of bird populations and trends. This presentation will cover the fascinating history of the count and show how the information gathered is used. We will also cover the way the count operates locally and present some of the data collected in Orange County. Presented by Jim Van Gelder.
